If video footage calls for
supporting on-screen text, locate
an unemphasized area in the frame
for the text field.
A circle in a contrasting color
(White or SCRI Blue) should grow,
expanding into a Beam. This
creates a solid background for text
legibility. The text will fade, and
the Beam will move off screen to
the right.
Do not create a Beam larger than
shown at right. If there is more
copy than can fit in the Beam,
consider cycling the copy in
and out in smaller segments.
If text must be shown all at once,
consider inserting a blank color
field instead of putting text on
top of footage.
