Misuse of the Beam
Avoid cropping the Beam lengthwise,
always keep it within the frame.
Keep the Beam's rounded form intact -
don't let page margins slice it.

Avoid using the Beam as intentional
endcapping.
Avoid using Beams in two directions
and overlapping one another.
Avoid excessive use and crowding,
always allow for white space.
Avoid using the Beam as an icon. Beware of the "ooze", a dripping effect
when Beams are pointing downwards.
Don't overcrowd your layout with a
Beam just for the sake of using one.
Beam placement should be purposeful,
not cluttered. Keep your layouts clean
and simple—if adding a Beam feels
forced, remove it entirely.
