55 SCRI Brand Identity Guidelines 3.0 2026 Table of Contents Photography 2.7 This photography checklist is a quick reference to help you create consistent, effective images when planning and leading a photoshoot, or selecting photos from stock libraries. Checklist • Avoid overly posed or corporate-feeling compositions. Create or select images that feel both natural and professional. • Represent our wide, diverse community showing our global reach. Feature people across a range of ages, abilities, body types, genders, races, ethnicities, industries, and nationalities. • Choose clean, uncluttered backgrounds that enhance the subject. Avoid regional signifiers (ie. palm trees, cultural landmarks/architecture, etc.) unless for a designated purpose. • Avoid showing other brand logos unless approved or relevant for the image, such as for a partnership or integration. • Create or select images with a clear focal point to simplify cropping and graphic overlays. • Maintain an authentic look by avoiding exaggerated effects like lens flares or harsh lighting. • Make sure colors, props, and backgrounds align with the brand's visual identity. • Confirm all necessary model or property release forms are signed, and/or all stock photo licenses are properly purchased. When planning a shoot or searching for a collection of stock imagery, consider the purpose of the images and the story they need to tell.
